Miley Brand seasonings are the creation of Chef Greg Miley, who has been an Executive Chef for over 30 years combining his culinary and corporate executive skills in various venues. In the early 80’s, he cooked competitively with a BBQ team based in Houston, TX. Miley Brand products are the result of competitions and hundreds of specialty food venues. Each year-round product is professionally blended for your enjoyment in a State-of-the-Art blending and packaging facility, not too far from Spokane. It is our pleasure to offer our “first four” blends for your enjoyment.

All Purpose

The All Purpose Rub & Seasoning was originally blended for competitions in Texas and at the time it was used exclusively on beef brisket and chicken. In the early 80’s the meat that was prepared and judged, using our product as a rub, was an all-round champion at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Over 100,000 people were able to taste the goodness and we know you will too. At the time no one would have guessed this product would be delicious on vegetables and eggs. Someone has said, “ It’s good on everything, except cheerios.”

Meat & Vegetable

An interesting challenge created the Meat and Vegetable seasoning. Originally blended for use on Prime Rib, this rub took the place of several workers hand rubbing hundreds of pounds of choice beef rib roasts with olive oil and then topping with a paste of garlic, black pepper and a few secret ingredients. We have found this Montreal-type blend is wonderful on all meat products as well as on vegetables. If you are using a gas or pellet grill try this blend as a RUB and you will end up with a sensational crusted entre presentation. Remember to focus on “low and slow” (250 degrees) and cook to the desired doneness. You won’t go wrong when the Meat and Vegetable is coupled with steamed, roasted or wok prepared veggies. It can be added as a finishing seasoning or prior to cooking. Try it both ways and see what you prefer. One of our favorites is grilled asparagus which is fabulous when Meat and Vegetable is used and finished with fresh garlic and balsamic vinegar.


Not too long ago blackened “anything” was a feature of eateries everywhere. The Blackened Rub and Seasoning grew out of the desire to make the taste sensation a new experience on fish and meat. The zesty flavor with a touch of heat can make any preparation come alive and the kitchen will invite everyone to see what’s cooking. Salmon and halibut are suggested introductions to “flash searing”. At home it is easy by sprinkling the desired amount on each side of your preparation. Then place the item in a thick walled skillet with semi smoking hot olive oil. Cook one minute then turn and cook one more minute. Take the skillet off the heat and wait a couple of minutes. The skillet can now be returned to the stove under a medium low heat. When the desired doneness has been reached, plate it and enjoy.


Ole’ Ole’ down San Antonio way prompted the creation of the Southwest Rub and Seasoning. The air was filled with the fragrances of grilled peppers and onions side by side with zesty chicken strips on a smoking hot cast iron skillet. The fresh tortillas were filled with these goodies and topped with sour cream and guacamole. We wanted you to experience this at home. Whether its beef or chicken try it as well on fish and veggies. Soon you will be dancing and singing with joy.

Our catering business has been in operation for over 30 years, serving an assortment of culinary creations by Executive Chef Greg Miley and his team. From Prime Rib and salmon to his signature dishes, Greg’s always has said,” we will fix just about anything, anywhere, anytime”. He learned the art of BBQ while living and working in Houston, Texas. That’s where our “All Purpose” seasoning and rub was born. In the early 80’s Greg was a team member of one of Houston’s finest BBQ teams. From then until now his team has created culinary dishes for the The Humane Society, Free Rein Therapeutic Riding, Southside Community Center, American Cancer Society, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Chevrolet, and hundreds of wedding and other venues. “Our food is unique and is prepared in most cases onsite. I just want everyone to taste something wonderful that they might not prepare for themselves”.
